The Department of Integrated Resort and Tourism Management at the University of Macau cordially invites you to the APacCHRIE 2027 Conference, to be held in Macao SAR, China, from May 25 to May 28, 2027. The conference provides a premier platform for hospitality and tourism scholars and industry practitioners to connect, exchange ideas, and engage in discussions on rapidly evolving industry trends. Under the theme “Tourism+ Making an Impact for Now and Tomorrow,” we warmly welcome delegates from around the world to join us in Macao, the World Center of Tourism and Leisure!

Call for Papers The main conference is open to academics, industry professionals, and students from the Asia-Pacific region and beyond and provides an excellent platform for the presentation and exchange of peer-reviewed (double-blind) research. It also offers a valuable forum for dialogue and knowledge sharing between academic communities and industry practitioners on a wide range of topics addressing current trends and emerging developments in tourism and hospitality. Submission Guidelines
- All submissions and papers must be written in English.
- Contributions from either individual or multiple authors are welcome.
- Two types of submission are accepted: • Abstract (maximum 1,500 words, including the reference section), or • Full paper (maximum 7,000 words, including the reference section).
- Submissions must be original and should not have been previously published or currently under review for publication elsewhere.
- The author’s name and affiliation should be shown only on the cover page of the manuscript. They should not be indicated anywhere in the paper.
- Submissions may be accepted either for stand-up or poster presentations based on the quality of the paper and the author’s preference.
- Once the submission is accepted, at least one of the authors must register for and present at the conference.
- Papers will be presented in either oral (i.e., stand-up presentation) or visual (i.e., poster) form.
- Even if a full paper is submitted and accepted, authors will have the option to have only their abstract included in the conference proceedings to be published electronically.
- All contributions should follow the format and style prescribed by the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA, 7th edition).
- Tables and figures (300 dpi) should be clearly labeled in the format and style prescribed by the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA, 7th edition) and suitable for direct reproduction.
- Authors will retain full copyright to their work, and the conference organizers are making no claim on the copyright.
- Best paper awards will be competitively selected by the Best Paper Review Committee after assessing the final version of the full paper (maximum 7,000 words, including the reference section) submitted.
