FAIM 2025: The 34th International Conference on Flexible Automation and Intelligent Manufacturing JAY Suites New York, NY, United States, June 21-24, 2025

The FAIM (Flexible Automation and Intelligent Manufacturing) international conference is well-known for its role in advancing research, theories, and practices in automation and manufacturing. Over the years, FAIM has proven to offer valuable insights into technological advancements and managerial strategies. By providing scientific sessions, workshops, tutorials, and industry tours, the FAIM platform offers a comprehensive connection for academics and industry professionals. Throughout its history, FAIM has been hosted by several universities across Europe, America, and Asia. The FAIM conference selects approximately 250-300 high-quality research papers through an accurate and strict peer-review process, published by hundreds of influential researchers in automation and manufacturing. This encourages cooperation between researchers to bridge the gap between research and practical application.

Submission Guidelines

All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:

• Abstract
  • Should be between 150 and 250 words (1 page max).
• Full Paper Guidlines
  • All papers must comply with the Springer Guidelines for Authors and paper template. Papers not adhering to this formatting will be rejected without review.
  • The author can choose to work with word or latex. More information can be found here. The usage of these templates is mandatory.
  • Each paper is limited to a maximum of 8 pages, including all figures, tables, and references. Authors will be required to pay an extra fee for any additional pages beyond the 8-page limit.
  • For the first blind review, no author names, academic titles, or descriptions of academic positions should be included in the paper. After the paper is accepted, author information, affiliations, and email addresses will be allowed in the accepted paper.
  • Use title case for the paper title, capitalizing all main words.
  • The abstract should summarize the content of the paper, including its goal, scientific novelty, practical value, and main results, in 150-250 words.
  • Self-citations per paper are limited to a maximum of three.
  • The language of the paper must be English. Submissions in any other language will be rejected without review.
  • Plagiarism is strictly monitored and will be checked using Turnitin. Plagiarized papers will not be accepted for review.

Publication

All accepted papers presented in FAIM 2025 will be published in Lecture Notes in Mechanical Engineering (Springer) or Manufacturing Letters (Elsevier), indexed by Scopus. Authors of high caliber full-length manuscripts may opt to have their work reviewed for possible publication in Robotics and Computer-Integrated Manufacturing (Elsevier), International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology (Springer), or SME Journal of Manufacturing Systems (Elsevier), following a special ‘fast-track’ review process. Post-conference special issues for extended version of selected conference papers will appear in several other refereed journal publications. Authors of accepted papers must present their work at the conference, otherwise their papers will be removed from the conference proceedings, IJAMT, or RCIM.

The conference will be held in Jay Suites Conference Center, Bryant Park in NYC (1441 Broadway, New York, NY 10018).
