Submission Guidelines

StochMod - the biennial meeting of the EURO Working Group on Stochastic Modelling - is the premier European forum for researchers who have an interest in stochastic modelling. Its eight edition will take place in Milan, at Politecnico di Milano. The conference chair, Andrea MATTA invites you to take part in this meeting and look forward to seeing you. Scientists and practitioners are invited to present their current research topics in the area of the stochastic models.

Scope

The scope of the StochMod meeting includes both theoretical advances in stochastic modelling techniques and relevant applications. The contribution may lie in the formulation of new stochastic models, in the development of new analytical methods, or in the innovative application of existing models and methods. Its eighth edition will take place in Milan, at Politecnico di Milano.

Topics

        Theoretical research topics include but are not restricted to stochastic modelling and methods in:

• Markov Decision Processes
• Stochastic processes
• Robust and multicriteria decision-making
• Queueing theory
• Simulation
• Machine learning and data science
• Game theory and behaviour theory
• Stochastic programming
• Approximation, heuristic and asymptotic methods

Call for Abstracts

We welcome submissions of abstracts about your recent research in any of the areas listed above. This may cover a recently published paper (or a series of papers) or work in progress.

Important dates

• February 16, 2024: Abstract submission;
• March 31, 2024: Acceptance/Rejection Notification;
• April 30, 2024: Final Camera-ready Abstracts.
