Topics of Interest
The Industry Track of NeSy 2026 invites submissions detailing the practical applications of neuro-symbolic AI in real-world settings. We define neuro-symbolic AI applications as systems that:
- solve complex problems through the integration of deep learning and symbolic components;
- leverage symbolic knowledge bases and expressive metadata to enhance deep learning systems;
- support explainability and transparency through the use of background knowledge (XAI);
- employ machine learning techniques for graph-based reasoning.
The focus is on deployed systems, business value, and the challenges of moving from research to production. Topics include, but are not limited to:
- Case studies and success stories of deployed neuro-symbolic systems in specific verticals, such as finance, healthcare, robotics, or manufacturing.
- Best practices and lessons learned from integrating neural and symbolic methods in an industrial context.
- Integration of Large Language Models (LLMs) with symbolic reasoning to improve factuality, planning, and reliability.
- Discussions on scalability, reliability, and other challenges encountered in production environments.
- Design and implementation of guardlines for deep learning systems using symbolic methods, such as mathematical reasoning.
- Reports on barriers to adoption and strategies for overcoming them.
- Benchmarks, datasets, tasks, and evaluation metrics or approaches with an industry context.
- Analyses of business value, ROI, and competitive advantages gained from using hybrid AI.
Submission Guidelines
- Submission Portal: All submissions must be made through Easychair before the deadline. See submission link (soon).
- Page Limit: Industry track submissions should provide an overview of an industrial effort related to neuro-symbolic AI and need to be 3 to 4 pages, excluding references.
- Formatting: Please use the official LaTeX conference template.
- Content Focus: Submissions should describe a real-world application, its impact, and the lessons learned. Purely promotional or marketing material will be rejected.
- Review Process: All submissions must be anonymized to facilitate a double-blind review process.
- Presentation: The conference will be held in person. At least one author for each accepted paper must register and physically attend the conference to present their work.
- Proceedings: Accepted industry papers will be included in the official conference proceedings.
