About the Event
The Portuguese Association of Data Classification and Analysis (CLAD) and the Escola Superior de Tecnologia e Gestão of the Instituto Politécnico de Leiria (ESTG — IPLeiria) are pleased to organize the XXXI Conference on Data Classification and Analysis (JOCLAD 2024), which will take place in person from the 18th to the 20th of April 2024, in the beautiful city of Leiria, Portugal.
This annual conference is aimed at professors, researchers, students (bachelor's, master's, doctorate, ...) and other users that share interests in the area of Classification and Data Analysis, and its main objectives are:

Promote, support, develop and disseminate scientific research in the field of data science;

Promote scientific collaboration and exchange in the area of data science between researchers, companies and other organizations;

Offer training in the area of data science.
The conference will offer plenary and invited talks, contributed oral and poster presentations. Social and cultural events will also take place to foster networking among the participants.

Submission Instructions

The abstracts of the proposed communications should be written in LaTeX, in English and have two pages in A4 size, respecting the format available in the Template file.

The abstract text should not have sections, but should have the structure of an extended abstract.

Official languages of the meeting – Portuguese and English.

Abstracts of the proposed communications, either oral or poster, should be submitted by January 24th through the EasyChair platform, at the following address: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=joclad2024

When submitting your work, you should be explicit about the format you do prefer, either oral communication or poster, and the thematic area(s) in which your work is inserted. If you do not express your preference, the Organizing Committee will assume that it is a proposal for an oral communication.

In the case of poster communication, the size should be A0.

Acceptance of a paper by the Scientific Committee presupposes its presentation at JOCLAD 2024, in accordance with the respective Programme.
NOTE: Aiming to enrich the JOCLAD's scientific component, and following the previous editions, each person are allowed to present a maximum of one oral presentation and one poster (or two posters).
