Texas Linguistics Society - 23rd Annual Meeting
Call for Papers: TLS 2024
The Twenty Third Meeting of the Texas Linguistics Society will take place February 23rd to 24th, 2024. The conference will be hosted in person at the University of Texas at Austin Glickman Conference Center. For those who wish to join from afar, we are also hosting virtual presentations. The organizers invite papers from all sub-fields of linguistics. This year's special session will focus on machine learning and computational methods in linguistics. We plan to emphasize applications such as language models, corpus research, natural language processing, and speech recognition.
This year’s keynote speakers will be Dr. Kyle Mahowald (University of Texas at Austin), Dr. Zoey Liu (University of Florida), and Dr. Gasper Begus (UC Berkeley)
Presentations will be 20 minutes in length, with 10 minutes for questions/discussion. There will also be a poster session.
Abstract guidelines:
Length: 500 words maximum, excluding examples and references
Format: Include the paper or poster title and the text of the abstract. The abstract should not include the author’s name, affiliation, or other identifying information. All abstracts will be reviewed anonymously.
Deadline for submission: December 9th, 2023
Notification: December 22th, 2023
