Such is the case of synchronization networks, which allow all infrastructure devices to be synchronized in time in order to perform quality measurements. For these synchronization networks, two main protocols come into play, NTP (Network Time Protocol) and PTP (Precision Time Protocol), which must be monitored and controlled together with the rest of the facility's systems. In industry this is done with SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) software. In the course of this article, a small simulation of a device synchronization network will be carried out. This network will be monitored with two SCADA software: EPICS (Experimental Physics and Industrial Control Systems) and WinCC Open Architecture. The process followed to monitor the synchronization network in both SCADAs will be illustrated, highlighting the main features of each one and obtaining some final conclusions about which system is the most suitable for the proposed case study. Keyphrases: EPICS, SCADAs, WinCC OA, protocolo NTP, protocolo PTP, red de sincronización
