Dynamic Scheduling of Robotic Tasks for Treating Mildew by UV-c Radiation in Horticulture

Abstract

In this paper we present a dynamic scheduling method applied to the robotic treatment of mildew disease in greenhouses. The treatment is done by ultraviolet radiation (UV-c) with an autonomous mobile robot equipped with UV-c lamps. We first developed the robot environment in the greenhouse in a simulator based on multi-agent systems, where we integrated optimization algorithms to improve the system behaviour.  We propose a new approach to introduce a realistic disease behaviour based on a three-parameter logistic function model.
