The study aimed to identify the reporting and information-sharing indicators that will promote positive safety culture within construction companies, especially among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Based on the related literature on safety culture, the study adopted the Delphi technique data collection method in Ghana, the research site. After a three-round Delphi technique, the indicators that reached consensus were retained and reported in this paper. The findings revealed that 11 indicators would show how reporting and information sharing promote a positive safety culture. Reporting and sharing information underpin an informed culture essential to a learning organization. Thus, how construction SMEs handle specific indicators, such as ‘naming and shaming [the blame game], influence the timing and accuracy of reporting and sharing of information that may be vital to the safety of site operatives.Keyphrases: construction, contractors, safety culture, safety information In: Tom Leathem, Wes Collins and Anthony Perrenoud (editors).
