Today, it is even possible to increase the degree of autonomy of some of these ground robots by connecting them to artificial intelligence software. However, the use of these new functionalities raises the question of their added value for learning. In this position paper, we compare the potential of each category of robot (traditional robot versus AI robot) to promote learning. As a result, we present scenarios where self-learning robots enable students to reflect on their cognitive processes and learn how to learn.
