Systematic Literature Review of the Usage of Internet of Things on Industrial Logistics

Abstract

In the globalized economic scenario the ability to adapt to the flexibility of demand is crucial to determine the longevity of the companies. In this context the industrial logistics has a key function in the production flexibility. To meet this urging need, comes the concept of industry 4.0 and it brings along the conceptual usage of IoT (Internet of things). Considering the importance of the industrial logistics on the flexibilization of the production lines, this present research presents a bibliography systematic review with the utilization of the method PROKNOW-C (knowledge Development Process – Constructivist) aiming to understand the usage of IoT (Internet of Things) in the industrial logistics. The findings along the process in the search of knowledge are four strategical elements that should be leveraged through the decision making by any company willing to implement IoT in the Industrial Logistics, as key factors for implementation success.
