Therefore, ICN can be considered as an alternative to IP based networks in smart cities. The incorporation of various low-cost smart devices such as sensors and actuators, and the rapid development of wireless communication technologies that enable small and low-cost objects to connect to the Internet, have further increased the spread of the Internet of Things (IoT) where physical things change into smart things in everyday life.
