The method to be used will be the mixed one with a non-experimental design, of cross section. The study sample will be made up of approximately 75 participants, between 14 and 55 years of age, male and female, with a heterogeneous level of education and socioeconomic stratum. The instruments to be used are: semi-structured interviews, surveys and the focus group technique. This study will make it possible to conclude the situations in which the levels of repetition and drop-out of students at the secondary level persist in vulnerable contexts, once the factors that influence school drop-out and repetition and their incidence on the achievement of quality in education in the Dominican Republic have been determined.
