Research on AI implementation processes and value creation in public procurement is used for the analytical framework. Empirical data consists of semi-structured interviews with 18 persons working with procurement within 10 Swedish authorities. Findings show an overall low level of AI maturity, perceived values of AI are dominated by ideas on improved operative capabilities, certain process effectiveness potentials, and a potential of AI for improved monitoring of sustainability.
