We computed a similarity measurement function to compare resumes of applicants of varying education levels in different job categories. A high correlation was found with trust, cognition and positive emotions. We showed that standardized templates are often designed by applicants to elicit positive emotions about their job candidacy and to suggest greater trust and cognitive abilities. Nevertheless, these measurements have a negative correlation with education level. The implication is that applicants that use standardized templates for writing resumes have lower levels of creativity.
