Abstract

Bio-Medicalinstrument&Managementplatformsforpandemicslike COVID-19 are rapidly adopting IoT-enabled medical devices(IoMT). Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) is also recognized as applying the fundamental prin- ciples, tools, methods, and ideas of the top internet strategy, specifically in the healthcare and medical sectors. However, an efficient end-to-end verification sys- tem using QKD resolves the security concerns of the protocol and streamlines the process overall. Hence, despite the potential increase in costs and possibility of errors, it is imperative to implement a new system that enables smooth data trans- mission without compromising its integrity. When additional sensors and devices are present, and more energy is needed to handle them, a more effective algorithm can be used to decrease power consumption.

Keyphrases: IoT-enabled medical devices, Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), energy consumption
