Formulas are used to compute the distance between conductors. It is explained how to make a grid with irregular spacing. The suggested approach can construct an unequally spaced grid that makes current density in conductors more uniform, resulting in considerable reductions in earth surface (potential) gradients. In addition, the grounding grid uses 30% less material. Numerical computations are used to determine the outcomes of field tests.
