A novel intraarticular device has been developed for achieving a balanced knee joint over the range of motion of the knee without requiring manual adjustments during surgery. Quasi-Constant force output was generated by the device at usual joint gaps for the knee sizes encountered during total knee arthroplasty.Keyphrases: balancing, range of motion, soft tissue, total knee arthroplasty In: Ferdinando Rodriguez Y Baena, Joshua W Giles and Eric Stindel (editors).
