Participants read a trial in one of four conditions: Admissible (evidence included), Due Process (evidence inadmissible because of fairness), Unreliable (evidence inadmissible because of ambiguity), Control (evidence excluded). Afterwards, participants recommended a verdict (guilty or not guilty), rated evidence importance, and wrote an essay.
